Be inspired at any age! Our daytime Lifelong Learning programs are geared toward adults who might be feeling envious of our school-age programs.
Meet the team behind a new opera or ballet; hear a recital by a young musician on the brink of a professional career; take a backstage tour and experience the Jube from the performer's side of the curtain; meet a visual artist; learn about watercolour painting or collage and try your hand at creating a unique card or journal; learn about how our state-of-the art lighting and audio equipment creates magic on stage.
Upcoming Events: Spring 2013 "The Way We Were" with Carney Oudendag Tuesday March 19, 2013 1:30 - 3:30 PM Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
Using vintage photographs, acrylic paint amd assorted embellishments, participants will create a collage on canvas. We will give our creations a distinctly nostalgic and 'antique' look. A "magical" technique called "transfer" will be taught. Instructor will demonstrate and support the entiure project.
Note: All supplies are provided, however, participants could bring their own black and white 'vintage' photos (no bigger than about 3" x 5"). Please be aware that these photos will be used in a permanent art project. If you prefer, bring some photocopies from a TONER (not laser jet) printer to make the transfer project.
*Participants should wear old clothes or a cover up paint shirt*
